This policy explains the terms that apply when you book or attend the conference. It covers ticket eligibility, cancellations and refunds, ticket transfers, privacy, recording, safety and standards of behaviour. Please read this policy before purchasing a ticket.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to this policy. If you buy a ticket for somebody else, you must share this policy with them before the event - all attendees are required to follow this policy.

1 Booking and eligibility

  • The conference is for adults aged 18 and over only, and children and babies cannot be admitted.
  • Tickets provide admission to the conference on 27 February 2027 and are subject to availability.
  • The ticket price does not include lunch, travel, accommodation or other personal expenses unless expressly stated at the time of booking.
  • You must provide accurate booking and contact information. Important updates will be sent to the email address used for the booking.
  • Please use a safe, private email account that only you can access. If it is no longer safe, update your booking details or contact us through Eventbrite.
  • Please bring your Eventbrite ticket or QR code. We may ask for reasonable evidence of identity where this is necessary to verify a booking or respond to a safety concern.

2 Cancellations and refunds

  • Cancellations on or before 27 January 2027. You may request a full refund of the £45 ticket price through Eventbrite.
  • Cancellations on or after 28 January 2027. We are unable to offer a refund.
  • Eventbrite fees. Eventbrite charges a separate ticketing fee. Where Eventbrite treats this fee as non-refundable following an attendee cancellation, it will not form part of any refund.
  • Non-attendance. Refunds are not available if you do not attend and have not cancelled within the period above.
  • Exceptional circumstances. We recognise that unexpected and difficult circumstances can arise. If exceptional circumstances prevent you from attending, please contact us. Requests will be considered individually and with sensitivity, although we cannot guarantee a refund outside the standard terms.
  • Statutory rights. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
  • 3 Ticket transfers
  • If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person free of charge. Transfer requests must be received by 20 February 2027.
  • Contact us through Eventbrite or at conference@narcissistsindivorce.co.uk with the new attendee's full name and email address.
  • The new attendee must be aged 18 or over and must follow this policy.
  • Tickets must not be resold for more than the original amount paid.
  • A transfer is not complete until we have updated or confirmed the booking.

4 Changes to the programme

  • The advertised speakers, sessions, programme and timings reflect our plans at the time of publication. We may make reasonable changes where necessary.
  • A change to an individual speaker, session, running order or timing will not normally amount to cancellation of the conference or automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund.
  • 5 Cancellation or postponement by the organiser
  • If we cancel the conference, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for your ticket, including Eventbrite ticketing fees.
  • If we postpone the conference, your ticket will automatically remain valid for the rearranged date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund by the deadline provided in our postponement email. You will be given at least 14 days in which to make that request.
  • We recommend booking refundable or flexible travel and accommodation. We cannot reimburse travel, accommodation or other associated expenses if the conference is cancelled, postponed or changed, except where the law requires otherwise.

6 Nature of the conference

  • The conference provides information, education and discussion about narcissistic abuse in the context of separation, divorce, family court proceedings, children arrangements and parenting.
  • Information shared by speakers is general and should not be treated as advice about your individual legal, medical, psychological, financial or other professional circumstances. Speakers and panellists may express their own professional opinions and experiences, which do not necessarily represent the views of the organiser or other speakers.
  • The conference is not an emergency or crisis support service. If you need advice or support relating to your individual circumstances, please consult an appropriately qualified professional or specialist service.

7 Privacy and confidentiality

  • There will be no name badges.
  • The attendee list will not be published or shared with speakers, sponsors or other guests.
  • You will not be expected to speak or share personal information.
  • Please do not publicly identify another attendee or share their story, circumstances, disclosures or attendance without their explicit permission.
  • Do not tag another attendee in social media posts or photographs without their explicit consent.
  • Please consider your own privacy carefully before sharing personal information during a public discussion or question and answer session.
  • We ask all attendees to respect confidentiality. However, because the conference takes place in a group setting, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information that an attendee chooses to disclose publicly.

8 Recording and photography

  • Attendees must not photograph, film or make audio or video recordings of conference sessions or other attendees.
  • Attendees must follow any additional photography or recording instructions given by the organisers or venue staff.
  • Official photography or filming will be limited to speakers, panellists, the stage and authorised participants or areas.
  • We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that attendees are not identifiable in official photographs or recordings.

9 Questions and participation

  • Audience questions and discussion are welcome, but participation is always optional. Anonymous question and answer options may be used where available.
  • The organisers may stop, redirect or decline a question or contribution because of time limits, privacy, safeguarding, relevance or the appropriate running of the conference.

10 Respectful behaviour and code of conduct

  • We want the conference to be a safe, respectful and supportive environment. Attendees must respect the privacy, personal boundaries and lived experiences of other attendees, speakers, volunteers, organisers and venue staff.
  • The following behaviour will not be accepted:

Abusive, threatening, intimidating, discriminatory or harassing behaviour.

Aggressive confrontation, persistent unwanted contact or deliberate intrusion into another person's privacy.

Disruptive conduct that prevents the conference from continuing appropriately.

Sharing or attempting to obtain private information about another attendee without a legitimate reason or their consent.

Using information obtained at the conference to harass, intimidate, monitor or compromise another person's safety or privacy.

  • We may refuse admission or require somebody to leave where we reasonably consider this necessary to protect the safety, privacy or wellbeing of others or to allow the event to continue.
  • A refund will not normally be provided where admission is refused or an attendee is removed because of their conduct.

11 Safety and safeguarding

  • If we reasonably believe that a person is attending or attempting to attend to monitor, intimidate, harass, confront or obtain information about another attendee, we may refuse admission or require that person to leave.
  • If you have a specific safety or privacy concern about somebody who may attend, please contact us confidentially before the event wherever possible. We will consider reasonable measures, but we cannot guarantee that a particular individual will not purchase a ticket or attend unless there is a reasonable basis on which we can restrict admission.
  • For privacy and safeguarding reasons, we will not disclose whether a named person has purchased a ticket or is expected to attend.
  • Nothing in this policy prevents us from contacting venue security, the police or another appropriate service where we reasonably consider this necessary to respond to an immediate safety concern.

12 Accessibility and wellbeing

  • If you have an accessibility requirement or another need that may affect your participation, please contact us as early as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual requirements.
  • A quiet room will be available during the conference. It is intended as a calm space and will not be staffed by a therapist, counsellor or other support professional.

13 Refreshments and allergies

  • Tea, coffee and water will be provided during registration and breaks, with pastries on arrival. Lunch is not provided. You may bring and eat a packed lunch at the venue or purchase food nearby.
  • We will not collect dietary or allergy information or provide individually prepared alternatives. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or the absence of cross-contamination. If you have a food allergy, please ask venue staff for the relevant allergen information before consuming any refreshments.

14 Personal belongings

  • You are responsible for your own belongings while attending the conference. We cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

15 Circumstances outside our control

  • Events outside our reasonable control may affect the conference. These may include severe weather, transport disruption, venue emergencies, government restrictions or other exceptional circumstances. If such circumstances require us to cancel or postpone the conference, section 5 will apply.

16 Personal information

  • Personal information provided when purchasing a ticket or contacting us will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and the organiser's privacy policy. We will use your information as necessary to administer your booking, manage the event and communicate important conference information.
  • Optional marketing communications will be handled separately and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

17 Liability and legal rights

  • Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

18 Contact and governing law

  • If you have a question about your booking, need to cancel or transfer a ticket, have an accessibility requirement or want to raise a safety or privacy concern, please contact conference@narcissistsindivorce.co.uk or contact the organisers through Eventbrite.
  • This policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
